Spring is an international peer-reviewed, open-access journal covering all aspects of conservation science and its broad range of applications. The journal provides an academic platform for professionals and researchers to contribute innovative work in the fields of basic and applied conservation ecology, nature conservation and sustainability.
The journal Spring strongly encourages papers on ethical, social, socio-economic, legal and policy issues related to the management and use of biodiversity and ecosystems.
The journal publishes research, reviews, analysis, case study, perspectives and communication in all major disciplines of conservation & sustainability. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible.
Manuscripts have to be double-spaced with one-inch margins. Headings must be used to designate the major divisions of the paper. To facilitate the review process, manuscripts should contain page and line numbering.
Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscript checked by a language editing service, or by an English mother-tongue colleague prior to submission.
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off the Submission Preparation Checklist, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
All papers submitted to Spring are subject to peer review process. All accepted papers will be suitably edited before publication. The Editorial Board of the journal will immediately screen all articles submitted for publication in that journal. Those articles which fail to reach the scientific standards of the journal may be declined without further review. Those articles which satisfy the requirements of the Editorial Board will be sent to a maximum of three referees. These are experts in the field who have agreed to provide a rapid assessment of the article. Every effort will be made to provide an editorial decision as to acceptance for publication within 4-6 weeks of submission. Referees may request a revision of the article to be made. In this case, it is generally understood that only one revised version can be considered for a further appraisal under the peer-review system.
Spring Journal published quarterly (4 issues per year) on regular basis. All papers are published as soon as they have been accepted, by adding them to the "current" volume's Table of Contents.
The journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. It is available online for FREE to all readers. No pre-registration is required and there are no 'logins' and 'passwords'.
The copyrights of all papers published in this journal are retained by the respective authors as per the 'Creative Commons Attribution License'. The author(s) should be the sole author(s) of the article and should have full authority to enter into agreement and in granting rights to Discovery Publication, which are not in breach of any other obligation. The author(s) should ensure the integrity of the paper and related works. Authors should mandatorily ensure that submission of manuscript to Discovery Publication would result into no breach of contract or of confidence or of commitment given to secrecy.
