Variation in heavy metals concentration in the edible oyster Crassostrea madrasensis, clam Polymesoda erosa and grey mullet Liza aurata from coastline of India

Seven trace metals Zinc(Zn), Iron(Fe), Manganese(Mn), Lead (Pb), Nickel(Ni), Cobalt(Co) and Cadmium(Cd) variation and (or) accumulation in mullet fish L.aurata, edible bivalve oyster C.madrasensis from Gosthany estuary-east coast and edible clam Polymesoda erosa from Mandovi estuary-West coast of India have been studied by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS).

The reaction of Os(RL1)(PPh3)2(CO)Br, 1b, with sodium salt of pyridine-2-thiol (HPyt), 2, has furnished complexes of the type (Os(RL2)(PPh3)2(CO)(Pyt)), 3, in excellent yield (RL1 is C6H2O-2-CHNHC6H4R(p)-3-Me-5, RL2 is C6H2OH-2-CHNC6H4R(p)-3-Me-5 and R is Me, OMe, Cl). In this process, pyridine-2- thiolato (Pyt) undergoes four-membered chelation, the iminium-phenolato function tautomerizing to the imine-phenol function.

Effects of Physical Activity and Garlic in lipids profile and Preventing the Risk of Coronary Heart Disease
In this study, plasma total cholesterol (T.C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and triglycerides (TGs) were investigated in a sample of cardiovascular disease free people, in order to find out the effects of each of physical activity and garlic and the inherence of these factors, on the incidence of ischemic heart disease.

The bimolecular reaction of ReVOCl3(dptz), 1, where dptz is 3,6-di(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine with excess diphosphine Ph2P(CH2)xPPh2 (x=1-4) has furnished ReIII(OPPh2(CH2)xPPh2)Cl3(dptz), 2with a dangling phosphine function which is spontaneously converted in solution to ReIII(PPh2(CH2)xP(O)Ph2)Cl3(dptz).
