Paper Mill is a wood based power plant which generates a huge amount of fly ash. The application of fly ash in degraded land may reduce the problem of disposal to some extent. A field study was carried out on a sandy loam soil at the KVK farm Janjgir Champa, Chhattisgarh to study the effect of enriched fly ash (FA) on rice and soil characteristics of inceptisol during kharif 2013-14. The test crop was rice var. MTU-1010. The application of different treatment FA combinations increased paddy yield compared to 100% GRD. However the control treatment failed to produce the yield in degraded land. Among the treatments, the 75% GRD +60t FAha-1+5t FYMha-1 gave highest paddy yield than all other treatments. The straw yield was not significantly influenced by FA treatments, but the beneficial effect of enriched fly ash on higher rice straw yield was observed.

Discovery Agriculture invites original papers, review articles, technical reports and short communications containing new insight into any aspect of Agricultural that are not published or not being considered for publication elsewhere.

Special emphasis will be given to research and development, as well as the latter’s interface with the nature, particularly as they relate to major areas of concern in Universe. Articles being considered for publication elsewhere or published previously will not be considered. All material submitted for publication will be reviewed and edited to meet the standards. Copyright for material accepted for publication will transfer to the publisher. The journal publishes papers in English and paper should have an abstract in English of up to 100-400 words.
