Vultures are master scavengers of India. Decline in vulture population is reported since 1950-1970s in India and its neighbouring countries; although a steep decline in there population was reported in mid 1990s at an alarming pace. The study was required to find out the vulture scenario in Bundelkhand Region.
A checklist of Recent and fossil catfishes (Order Siluriformes) is presented, summarizing taxonomic literature published through 2005. From 4624 nominal species group names and 810 genus group names, 3093 species are recognized as valid, and are distributed among 478 genera and 36 families.

Oryza glaberrima (African rice) is a cultivated grain distinct from its better known cousin Oryza sativa (Asian rice). African rice was independently domesticated ~3000 years ago in the Niger River Delta from its still extant progenitor, Oryza barthii. O. glaberrima is significant for its resistance to many pests and diseases and for its tolerance of drought and infertile soils.

The genus Ceroxylon is revised and twelve species are recognized. A total of 228 specimens from 19 herbaria were studied and field work was carried out in four countries. A list of 113 characters was explored in the specimens and described for each species.

In field, Onion blight / purple botch symptoms development starts from tip of the older leaves as small, whitish, sunken, oval shaped lesions which later On became elliptical or oblong, which brown to purple at the centre and surrounded by a light brown area.
Four new species of Eoneureclipsis (Trichoptera: Psychomyiidae) are described from Japan: E. montanus n. sp., E. shikokuensis n. sp., E. okinawaensis n. sp. and E. yaeyamaensis n. sp. Illustrations of male wing venation and genitalia of both sexes are provided.
